Cabre Perdu belongs to the sleepy village Teyssieu (3km), clustered around a huge medieval tour and a nice late roman church. It has 196 inhabitants, a bar-restaurant, a small food shop and awakes only at his fantastic village festival.
The nearest larger towns are Saint Céré (14km) and Bretenoux (13km).
Bigger towns nearby are Brive (57km), Aurillac (51km), Figeac (54km), Cahors (90km).

 

The area is filled since medieval times with impressive castles, fortified towns, romantic farmers villages. Here time has slowed down, not much seems to have changed in the past century. You are amidst of Les Plus Beaux Villages en France
It invites you to hike by car, foot or bike and discover all its beauty.
You might visit the colourful village markets or roam on turning roads through romantic landscapes.
Under the ground you will find a much older world of stalagmites and drawings of our ancesters 25000 years ago in e.g. grottes de Presque or Gouffre de Padirac


The Dordogne river gives you swimming and kayaking possibilities and if you want more sport; in Autoir can be found over two hundred climbing tracks and in winter you are one hour away from the Lioran ski resort.
